We'll Get You "INTO" Nature

On a fast and stable foot powered Hobie kayak, you can photograph the abundant wildlife with ease, explore the spectacular coastline or maybe catch a salmon for supper! For the more adventurous, you can do all of above on a Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP).

With qualified instruction, even 1st timers will be confidently gliding along the water - and peering down into the clear waters at a world full of wonder and surprises. The more experienced can take on the surf waves that frequent our rugged outer coastline!

Their bikes are ideally suited for the famous 56km 'Galloping Goose' converted railway trail, but also able to take on some of the challenging terrain that BC is known the world over for!

Sooke Fire Departent - Chief Steve Sorensen

We wish to express our appreciation to the Sooke Fire & Rescue Department for hosting our November Sooke Newcomers Club Luncheon at the Sooke Fire Hall.  Fire Chief Steve Sorensen gave an informative presentation to our newcomers followed by a delicious lunch and a tour of the facility.

The Sooke Newcomers Club is a Chamber initiative for newcomers to the Sooke region to meet new friends as well as learn about our local community in the areas of history, recreation, volunteer opportunities, local amenities, services and businesses along with other topical items that are important to the future of the community and its residents.

All newcomers (3 year or less) are invited to attend.  To be included on the invitations list, please contact the Chamber office.

Meetings/luncheons take place at various venues throughout the Sooke region, typically on a monthly basis with local guest speakers.

This is a great opportunity to gain new customers by inviting newcomers to learn about your business or participate in your organization.

*If you are interested in hosting a Sooke Newcomers Club meeting or participating as a guest speaker, please contact the Chamber office.

The Sooke Region Chamber of Commerce encourages all businesses in the Sooke region to submit their information to be published on our website's business directory.  One of the many benefits of being a Chamber member means the inclusion of detailed business information such as logos, tag phrases, mission statements, company descriptions and links in our directory.

*Only basic contact information will be published for non-members as a service to our community.
