We began as a group of parents, educators and caregivers in the Sooke area. We were excited at the prospect of providing programs and services in our own area for families with children and adults with developmental and physical disabilities. In October 1998, Sooke Options for Community Living Association was incorporated and registered as a non-profit organization. Over the years our Board of Directors, members and employees have worked together to establish a summer day camp for children with disabilities, an adult day program and a support group for families and caregivers. In the future we hope to set up a staffed respite home.
