The Homestead invites you to the best of Vancouver Island tourism: rugged luxury, the quiet of waves and seabirds, close enough to town and to total wilderness, remote enough to enjoy solitude.
On the remote edge of Sooke, our self-catering vacation home was constructed in 2000 of half-timbered logs from our property in the piece-en-piece style of Canada’s early settlers. You can span the centuries here back to a simpler time, without sacrificing a single modern luxury. The kitchen is fully equipped –including both cappuccino and popcorn makers. The Jacuzzi for two has an ocean view. Snuggle in the living room before the gas fireplace, reading, listening to the stereo, or (horrors!) watching television.
Enjoy summers stepping onto the large oceanfront deck and relax in the arms of nature – soothed by the lapping of waves, the soaring of eagles from majestic tree-tops, and the warmth of the sun — all before the spectacular backdrop of the snow-capped Olympic mountains. The ocean panorama refreshes your spirit. Winters follow, watching incredible storms roll down the strait, while you relax in the comfort and luxury of your double jacuzzi.
At day’s end, listen to the ocean from a queen size sleigh bed on the loft. When you include the double couch-bed, this Sooke guest cabin sleeps four.
