Sooke, September 1, 2023 – The Sooke Region Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce its upcoming four-part learning series designed to inspire and equip present and future entrepreneurs and business owners in the Sooke community. The series, comprising of four informative sessions, is set to kick off on Tuesdays throughout the month of October.

The Sooke Chamber of Commerce believes in fostering a thriving business environment, and this unique learning series is a testament to that commitment. Program Sessions:

  1. October 3: Join us for the first session where Dumont Tires, a long-established business in Sooke, will share their journey, insights, and strategies for success. Discover the secrets behind their longevity and relevance in the market.
  2. October 10: The Community Thrift Store will take the stage to shed light on the intricacies of setting up a non-profit organization. Gain valuable knowledge on how to make a meaningful impact while running a sustainable nonprofit business.
  3. October 17: Ever wondered about the process of buying an existing business? Sooke Eye Care will provide an in-depth look into this subject, sharing their experience and knowledge on the crucial steps to ensure a seamless transition.
  4. October 24: Vosino Cafe will wrap up the series by offering insights into setting up a cooperative venture. Learn how collaboration and community-driven efforts can lead to the establishment and success of a cooperative enterprise.

Participants have the flexibility to attend all sessions as a comprehensive series or choose specific sessions aligned with their interests and needs.
